Tengoku Hen official site update, new pilot and unique Diebuster skills revealed

The Super Robot Wars Z3 Tengoku Hen official site had a small update yesterday, revealing special and pilot skills new to the game.

The website also states the next update will be on 26th February.

Positioning

A new purchasable skill which grants an extra 5% damage when surrounding enemy units.

+5%/10%/10%/15% damage for 1/2/3/4 unit surround, up from +0%/5%/5%/10%. It’s not entirely clear if this skill can stack.

Long Distance Operation

Nicola from Diebuster has the unique special command “Long Distance Operation” (遠距離操作). This ability activates at 130 morale and can be used once per turn. When activated, this grants one target squad adjacent another turn.

Telepathy

Tycho from Diebuster possesses the unique special command “Telepathy”. This command is available at 140 morale and usable once per turn. When activated, it grants one target squad the effects of “Sure Hit” and Flash.

Material Transfer

Lal’C from Diebuster possesses the unique special command “Material Transfer” (物質転送). This command is usable once per map, and allows Lal’C to use either a Repair Kit, Catridge, or Propellant Tank, even if her unit does not have one equipped.

Tactical Standby

By ending the turn without moving or attacking, pilots with the Tactical Standby skill will have the effects of “Awaken” and “Accelerate” seishin on their next turn.

Ledo from Gargantia starts with this skill.

    Lark = Lal’C, and she, not he. Tycho, not Chico as well.

    These abilities seem pretty useful… though if it means that you don’t necessarily have to use Basara as your main support guy every time, I’m in favor of it. That was one of my mechanical issues with Z3.1: Basara did what no one else really could.

    @Ben
    Thanks, fixed.

    Well, this seems interesting. Now I know which units I’m going to try first xd.

    Also, does anyone else think some of the new map sprites are… strange? Maybe it’s just me being petty, whatever.

    The Re-GZ in the positioning skill demo makes me think that, just like in Z3 Jigoku-Hen, Amuro will be there early in the game, but he will not get the Nu back until mid-game (then again, the Nu is pretty broken IMO, so yeah).

    @Ben
    That kinda was Basara’s thing since he couldn’t really attack. However, I do hope it is an either-or thing with these skills, since if you could use one, then attack, they would be OP.
